A Review of The Screwtape Letters (Off Broadway)
By Alan Miller, September 10, 2010
I saw The Screwtape Letters (Off Broadway) on 05/26/10. Overall, I'd say it was a 3-star rating. I'd summarize it by saying “this was less of a play than a Christian apologia with little dramatic impact.”
This was a disappointing production based on the work of C. S. Lewis. The acting was excellent but to little purpose since the story line was trivial and the ideas expressed rather sophomoric. I have written a longer review of this show and other plays that you can access on my blog at http://aseatontheaisle.blogspot.com.
