A Review of Rock of Ages (Broadway)
By jame c., June 27, 2011
I saw Rock of Ages (Broadway) on 06/20/11. Overall, I'd say it was a 4-star rating. I'd summarize it by saying “They really pulled it off! At first, I thought it was weak but it finished strong!”
I had a great time and left the show feeling enlightened of the 80s and "buzzed". I'd describe the show as suprising, funny, and a rockamusical. "lonny" was a highlight of the show because he was hillarious and entertaining. If this were a movie, I'd rate it PG-13. I would recommend this show to most peoeple but not to immature teens and classical broadway viewers.
I saw this show because curious to see how this show was good enough for the movies. I wouldn't see it again. I sat in the center orchestra area of the theater. The view was clear and the seats were semicomfy.
I was pleasantly surprised! They pulled it off. I was bored the first few songs and then something clicked and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The story took one too many songs to develop but it was still enjoyable!
