I saw Elling (Broadway) on 11/21/10. Overall, I'd say it was a 2-star rating. I'd summarize it by saying “Denis O'Hare was really good, but the story wasn't Broadway worthy”

Elling tells the story of two psychiatric patients who are adjusting to living on their own - it could be really interesting, but this story isn't. I really didn't appreciate Brendan Fraser's performance of a disabled man. Denis O'Hare was a better portrayl of a psych patient. I can't see this weak plot appealing to Broadway audiences who have a lot of great other shows to pick from.
