I saw Driving Miss Daisy (Driving Miss Daisy ) on 10/29/10. Overall, I'd say it was a 2-star rating. I'd summarize it by saying “Calling Dana Ivey please!!!!!!!!!”

wow- I really like this play but this production really suffered because of it's leading lady. She was not believable as a Southern woman, a Jew, or a woman closed off from her feelings and unable to have a relationship with a black chauffeur. And she is not funny. I understand tickets must be sold-but god almighty what has happened to us that we are such sellouts!! Vanessa is a wonderful actress-but Vanessa as Daisy is as ridiculous as a white Bloody Mary in South Pacific. Really. Even Vanessa seemed embarrassed. What was Alfred Uhry thinking allowing this to happen. I hope there are some writers and producers left out there that have more integrity. ah well....
