A Review of Billy Elliot (Broadway)
By Matthew H., June 15, 2011
I saw Billy Elliot (Broadway) on 01/29/10. Overall, I'd say it was a 4-star rating. I'd summarize it by saying “that Billy's character inspired me to pursue my dreams of becoming a musical theatre performer.”
I had a great time and left the show feeling inspired and happy. I'd describe the show as lively, emotional, and flashy. The song "expressing yourself" was a highlight of the show because I identify with gay characters. If this were a movie, I'd rate it PG-13. I would recommend this show to my college friends but not to kids.
I saw this show because my friends had recommended it. I would see it again. I sat in the right balcony area of the theater. The view was surprisingly distinct and the seats were comfortable.
