I saw Arcadia (Broadway) on 03/12/11. Overall, I'd say it was a 4-star rating. I'd summarize it by saying “this is a less than perfect production of Stoppard's greatest play.”
I had a very good time and left the show feeling intellectually challenged and thoughtful. I'd describe the show as intelligent, philosophical, and cheerful. Billy crudup's performance was a highlight of the show because he's a first-rate actor. If this were a movie, I'd rate it PG. I would recommend this show to everyone I know who is interested in ideas.
I would see this show again. I sat in the center orchestra area of the theater. The view was clear and the seats were comfortable.
I have posted a much expanded review of this play and reviews of several other plays on my blog www.aseatontheaisle.blogspot.com.
