A Review of A Bengal Tiger at the Baghdad Zoo (Broadway)
By Ashley Hallmark, March 31, 2011
I saw A Bengal Tiger at the Baghdad Zoo (Broadway) on 03/30/11. Overall, I'd say it was a 5-star rating. I'd summarize it by saying “Fantastic direction and superb acting from the entire cast.”
I had a n amazing time and left the show feeling excited and ecstatic to meeting the cast. I'd describe the show as edgy, hilarious, and thoughtful. The teamwork of the entire cast was a highlight of the show because you can tell they all believed in the show. If this were a movie, I'd rate it R. I would recommend this show to anyone who is a fan of Robin Williams and dark comedies but not to kids under 16 and families.
I saw this show because I heard they had a lottery and I'm a fan of Robin. I would see it again. I sat in the center orchestra area of the theater. The view was slightly obstructed, as I was in the front row. and the seats were very comfortable. .
I went to this show after reading very little and not knowing what to expect. Honestly, I lost out at the Wicked lottery and decided to try the lottery at this theater (starts at 6pm and they call names at 6:30pm). I was captivated and drawn in the moment the show came. Not for anyone who can't handle blood, violence or cursing - but it's not used excessively or out of context. It shows a fictional/true account of war and you'll leave questioning war altogether, but very satisfied with the show!
