Leap of Faith, the new Broadway musical from eight-time Academy Award-winning composer Alan Menken, is offering New York area choirs the chance to win up to 50 tickets to see the show. The choir will also gain access to a special meet-and-greet with the cast.

To enter the contest, the choirs must record a video singing “Leap of Faith” using the official sheet music and post the video to YouTube. The video must then be submittes via the online entry form at the official Leap of Faith website. Alan Menken will announce the winning choir.

Sheet music and a recording of the title song are available on the site. Deadline for entry is April 22, 2012.

Producers describe the show by saying, “when his traveling ministry breaks down in a small Kansas town, part-time reverend and full-time con artist Jonas Nightingale (Esparza) quickly pitches a tent and invites the locals to a revival.  As he cons the crowds and trades miracles for money, he’ll have to face a woman determined to stop him, a boy who puts his faith to the test, and maybe even his own redemption.”

Leap of Faith, with book by Warren Leight and Janus Cercone, has music by Academy Award winner Alan Menken and lyrics by Glenn Slater. Tony Award nominee Christopher Ashley directs the production, with choreography by Sergio Trujillo. It stars four-time Tony nominee Raúl Esparza and features Jessica Phillips, Kendra Kassebaum, Kecia Lewis-Evans, Leslie Odom, Jr., Krystal Joy Brown and Talon Ackerman.
