Winner of eight Tony Awards including Best Musical and the 2013 Grammy Award for Best Musical Theater Album, Once is based on the 2006 Academy Award winning (Original Song)  movie of the same name. The film and musical tell the story of an Irish musician (Guy) and a Czech immigrant (Girl) who are drawn together by their mutual love for music. Over the course of one week, a friendship/collaboration quickly evolves into a strong yet complicated love story.

Most of the songs from the movie, written by Glen Hansard and Markéta Irglová, make their way into the stage production. The musical features direction by John Tiffany, a book by Enda Walsh, choreography by Steven Hoggett, music supervision by Martin Lowe, sound design by Clive Goodwin and a stellar cast of actor/musicians, led by Steve Kazee and Cristin Miloti.
